MN Twins Incorporate Polished Concrete at Target Field
The Legends Club Level of Target Field showcases Minnesota’s rich history of Twin Hall of Famers and the Met Club. Architects wanted a flooring option that could feature an artistic design that helped accent larger-than-life art pieces of Kirby Puckett, Harmon Killebrew, Rod Carew, and other historic Twins ballplayers. One of the many benefits to polished concrete is its ability to reflect light which aids in featuring these Hall of Famers.
With over 28,000 square feet of level 2 polished concrete, Legends Club Level displays a Blueberry and Maple Syrup design. A Blueberry path leads the way from one entrance to the other with 3 different dilution levels of Maple Syrup strips.
Polished concrete not only allows for design flexibility, but more importantly provides functionality. As one of the highest trafficked areas, Polished Concrete was chosen because of its durability and low maintenance. Over time, this flooring option will hold up better and cost less than any other flooring option.
