As we are trying more ways to reach our potential clients, we've really branched out into the social media. Social media is a great way to get our name out there. We are an extremely visual company and any way we can showcase our work helps you as the consumer.
Most homeowners want to see and feel exactly what it is that a concrete company/construction company can produce. Which is exactly what they should be doing. Concrete Arts has tried to make this helpful for consumers over the years. We have a large driveway area that shows a 10x10 section of each stamp pattern that we offer with many different color options. We also offer an upstairs and downstairs showroom that houses all different types of countertops and flooring options. Soon we hope to finish our "back" showroom that will provide even more samples to help the client visualize our concrete in their home.
But we do realize that coming to our showroom isn't always feasible. Or even desired especially when you just want to "check it out." With that said, we've really tried to develop our Website, Facebook and blog to help in those areas. Another area that we've jumped to is called Houzz. Houzz is basically website to gather ideas for your project you have coming up or just dreaming up.
With all of this being said, we at Concrete Arts want to make you aware of all the options you do have when researching and planning out your new home or remodel. Make sure and check out companies online and go visit them. This way you know exactly what you are getting for the quality of work. The time up front will be time saved in the long run.

Too Long
The blog has been put on the back burner for far too long. So here's a quick update.
We. Are. Busy.
Finally we are back and busy with the construction recession behind us. The last couple years were a little difficult but we feel very thankful that we are moving forwards in all areas of our business. One area that we've even improved and grown in is our Polishing sector. Here is a project that we did a while back but just finished up on some touch-ups and reseals.

Streeter and Associates
Bomanite is redoing its color charts and they had asked that I send over some photos of our past projects that we've used colored dyes. So I went hunting for some in our files upon files of photos (which is a never ending task to organize.)
I love what I found!
Here are some photos of a project Concrete Arts did back in 2003 or 2004 for Streeters and Associates.
And yes its Concrete. We applied a Microtop which is a concrete topping about a thickness of a credit card. We used Bomanite dyes and sealed it. Wild, right?!

Pattern Spotlights
As I've mentioned before, we are a Bomanite franchise company. Bomanite has been great to us especially with providing great literature and marketing. One things we've started taking advantage of is its Pattern Spotlights. Pattern Spotlights are basically email blasts that we can send out to our customers of a stamped patterns. A little write up is done and great photos are displayed, usually a close up and an overall image.
What we've done at Concrete Arts is save those pdf email blasts on our iPads. This allows to provide homeowners an image when we're out at their home doing an estimate. It's worked great. Homeowners appreciate the technology that Concrete Art's has integrated into its process so they can better understand and picture what their Decorative Concrete project will look like.
Below is just one example of a Pattern Spotlight. Visit our Facebook album to see more.

Makeover!
We've had Cemstone's Product Vision Imaging software for quite some time but it has yet to be integrated into our sales process. Until now, (we'll see how long it lasts.)
We had a couple come in to our showroom to check out all the patterns and colors we have displayed in a parking lot. Because of the magnitude of options available, Mike, sales employee, thought it was about time we brushed the dust of this software and put it to good use. As it is still in the works to perfect the design skills of the user, the images are a little rough but what a great tool!

More recognition for UIU
The University of Upper Iowa has been a popular project! Bomanite Corporation did a feature story on UIU that goes out to concrete contractors all over the US and even into Canada. Please read below. Great story!
